Our extensive curriculum comes from deconstructing the test and understanding the components required to really master the PSAT.
As per CollegeBoard's website, the PSAT/NMSQT is more than good practice for the SAT. If you’ve already taken the PSAT 8/9 or PSAT 10, you’ll be able to track your improvement. With insights about your knowledge and skills, you can set your own target score for the SAT. And, based on your scores, you’ll get personalized recommendations about AP® courses that are a good fit. What sets the PSAT/NMSQT apart from the rest of the tests in the SAT Suite of Assessments is that students who take it and meet other program entry requirements will enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).
Unlike the SAT and other exams, your score has to register you to take the PSAT. Each school is a little different but this test is offered to10th and 11th graders during the Fall. For 2024, the testing dates are: Saturday, October 12, 2024, or Saturday, October 26, 2024.
The PSAT/NMSQT takes 2 hours and 14 minutes and consists of 2 sections: (1) the Reading and Writing Section, and (2) the Math Section. Most of the questions are multiple choice, though some math questions ask you to write in the answer rather than select it.
